One-Bedroom Units
Parkview has 109 one-bedroom units. Our units are approximately 440 square feet in size, and come equipped with a fridge and stove, automatic door opener, breaker box, balcony and sheers. The units have ceramic tile flooring throughout, grab bars in the bathtub, and some units come equipped with a bathtub cut out.
Two-Bedroom Units
Parkivew has 11 two-bedroom units. Our units are approximately 640 square feet in size, and come equipped with a fridge and stove, automatic door opener, breaker box, balcony and sheers. The units have ceramic tile flooring throughout, grab bars in the bathtub, and some units come equipped with a bathtub cut out.
- Rent includes all utilities including: heat, electricity, water and sewer
- Rent does not include: cable, internet, telephone, parking and laundry
- Car parking is limited and often there is a waitlist.
The building features:
- Apartment units with a fully functioning kitchen including a stove and refrigerator
- 4 wheel-chair accessible units located on the 1st floor
- Secure and accessible entry with fobs and keys
- Security camera surveillance covering each floor and outside perimeter
- Laundry facilities on each floor with 1 washer and 1 dryer
- A multipurpose room for social activities which includes a small kitchenette
- A multipurpose room for social activities which includes a yard sale table in the basement
- Storage lockers in the basement
- Hair-dressing salon
- Scooter parking and charging room in the basement
- Smoking area with benches and covered shelter off of John Street and Lloyd Street
- Pets are welcome
The Community
Parkview Place is physically attached to the Oshawa Senior Community Centre located at 43 John Street West, through a link which allows our tenants to gain access and participate in all activities the OSCC offers during any season without leaving the comforts of the building. The OSCC offers a multitude of social activities and events as well as a cafeteria for lunches and snacks. There is a cost to join the OSCC of $20 per year.
Parkview Place is a short 5 minute walk from Sunrise Seniors non-profit located at 75 John Street West, where the tenants are welcome to take part in their dinner programs located in their dining room. Dinner rates apply.
Being located in downtown Oshawa, Parkview Place has easy access to shops, restaurants, services and cultural institutions. The main branch of the Oshawa Library and the Robert McLaughlin Gallery are located within a five minute walk. In the summer, weekly concerts are held in the bandshell across the road at Memorial Park.
